A young Fit Findlay was truly one helluva wrestling machine but when Skull Murphy stepped into the ring I got instantly hard…a heel’s heel par excellence.

Nice guy if not the greatest wrestler. Met him in early 1980’s in Gloucester. He’d just lost a bout (no surprise there) and was looking to get some relief. Would have been rude to refuse a man in need. Mmmm a memorable night

'Marvellous' Mike Bennett. I enjoyed watching him beat up blue-eyed Danny Boy Collins. It was clear that Bennett resented the fact Danny was always meant to win, so he smashed him up along the way before being disqualified.

There’s at least two Bennett Collins matches that I’ve found and in one of them The Marvelous one really bloodies up the pretty boy quite brutally...talk about HEEL NIRVANA!!!

Oh. Weren’t they good. Loved watching Jim breaks apply arm locks on some helpless jobber half his age.

The relentless punishment and damage Jim Breaks did to Young David’s arm was so hot!

Yes, I like the match he had with young David when he was wearing a light blue singlet. Lovely arm locks and the way he does that wrist lock with a click LOVELY. And nice back hammer to...........didn’t he suffer.

Yes I love that wrist lock when he clicks the joint, it was great to watch him work on an opponents arm and wrist, then finally putting the Jim Breaks special hold on for a submission

Such a nasty submission hold - so very effective.

He suffered as all Jobbers deserve to suffer.

Yes, Steve was a great technical wrestler. And he could really apply some lovely holds. I particularly liked his inverted surf board. Lovely.

Robbie, great heel and could really sell a move. And put up a good fight.
I like the fight he had with Danny boy Collins with lots of lovely straight arm lifts.

I’d love to have taken on the great Mick McMichael in a good old-fashioned, good natured Brit Pro bout. To have the odds against me by facing a no-nonsense rugged heel, Terry Rudge is the man. For me to be the heel, my opponent of choice would be the underrated Pete Ross.

For me, Johnny Kidd was the absolute hottest.
