Met Paul at a group meet in Manchester, I knew from first seeing him that his cheeky smile was going to be trouble. We tangled on the mats and had a great bout back and forth, he never gives in and is a real dynamo. He can take the punishment and certainly dish it out given the chance. Off the mats a lovely guy to talk with , interesting and chatty. Definitely gets my recommendation...

Paths have crossed and we managed to meet in Stockport yesterday afternoon for a few hours of intense sweaty wrestling fun and oh how glad I was to finally meet a man to match my strength. We changed in singlets as soon as we shook hands and we proceeded to applying various holds, worth noting he remarked my strong quads which probably is a legacy of my old rugby days when I was playing second row. Safe to say we are already looking forward to round 2. Ding ding!

Bern and I finally got together after a couple of false starts and had a great time. He is a strong wrestler who knows how to take advantage when he gets u down. Although I had the advantage at first with mutliple pins and subs he wore me down in the middle of the bout and got a series of pins and subs and then a 10-count KO. But I turned the table eventually and KOd him and came out the winner - just. Great work out and loved the match. Lovely man and can't wait for the return match. My highest recommendation. Thanks mate!

Had an excellent match with pinfall today. He stamped his authority early on and worked me over pretty well with submissions and pins. I had some limited success in the middle of the match but he took charge again and after a series of weakeners I couldn't beat the 10 count. Thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to go again. Absolutely recommended. Lovely guy too.

givetakegutpunching is a gut freak in the best way—this guy lives for the pain. I had him tied up, arms stretched over the beam, blindfolded, and he didn’t flinch once. Took deep, bare-knuckle shots to the gut until his abs were red and trembling, and still growled for more. I trampled him slow and heavy, boots pressing deep into his core, and he just flexed harder under the pressure. Even when I smashed his stomach with a weighted bat while he was flat on the mat, he just laughed and asked if I could go deeper. Standing, kneeling, against the wall, on his back—no position broke him. And when it was his turn to hit, he unleashed pure hell. If you want someone who’ll push you to your cruelest limits and still rise to trade, he’s the one.

FistCore is an absolute sadist—but in the best way possible. The moment I was blindfolded and cuffed to the ceiling beam, I knew I was in for something savage. His fists are like sledgehammers—each punch buried deep in my gut, timed and placed to knock the wind out without mercy. He didn’t stop at fists—he brought in a thick wooden stick, steel gloves, even a medicine ball he dropped over and over while I was laid out and gasping. He stomped me out slow, digging in with full weight on my core while I was tied down, then forced me up to my knees for another brutal round. His gut can take a war too—I threw my hardest punches while he was on the ropes and got no reaction but a cold grin. I had the pleasure of rolling with MaxxbearOH, and I can honestly say he’s an exceptional wrestler and an even better teacher. As someone who comes from a submission grappling background, I knew I was stepping into unfamiliar territory with folk style and Olympic wrestling, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. But MaxxbearOH’s ability to break things down in a way that’s both clear and accessible really stood out.

While I was out of my element, he made it easy to learn and understand the fundamentals of the sport—especially learning how to pin someone. It was my first time learning about pinning techniques, and his explanations were spot on, allowing me to grasp the concepts quickly without feeling overwhelmed. Even though I couldn’t get the upper hand against a seasoned wrestler like him, I walked away from the match with valuable lessons.

What truly sets MaxxbearOH apart is his approachability and communication. From the moment we started talking before the match, through the actual match, and after the roll, he was respectful, encouraging, and easy to talk to. Scheduling the match was also a breeze—MaxxbearOH was flexible and professional, making the whole process smooth and hassle-free.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from someone with his level of experience and skill, and I’m definitely looking forward to stepping onto the mat again with him in the future for another great lesson.
